Insomniac

Like everyone else I have my problems , one of them happens to be a little bit of a caffeine addiction and some insomnia enjoy my ramblings :)

Insomniac I can't see
what everyone is telling me
"Get to bed, or you'll be dead"
just a little more caffeine is what I need
to keep up in class I need a little more speed
Still I cannot fall asleep at night
The paranoia kicks in and I am ready for a fright
I swear I will fall asleep the next day
but circumstances ensue and will turns to may
May turns to not and still I don't sleep
caffeine in the morning comes and my liver does weep
 The coffee and energy drinks only last so long
after wards I wonder what have I done wrong
Fall asleep Fall asleep Fall asleep , count some sheep
I can't do it another day goes by
I am living in a dream, it what I'll tell myself
There is no need for sleep in a dream

I like the last line, it really adds meaning to the poem. I also like the line "fall asleep, fall asleep, fall asleep, count some sheep." The double rhyme in it makes me happy. The poem is very enjoyable, because although it's not entirely lighthearted, as the last line indicates, but it's just playful enough. Keep writing!

I can really grasp where you're coming from with this one. I've often had my "will turn to may/may to not". Nice turn of phrase, by the way.
