I Watched

She said

She wanted to be friends

But that I had to wait

I waited

I watched

Her grow.

I watched her get involved

In wrong

I couldn't do anything

But watch

I watched

Her cry

I couldn't comfort her

Just watch

When my watching

And waiting

Was done,

She was still not ready

And I watched some more

I watched

Her find happiness

And joy

Without me

And I was forgotten.
