Misguided Soul 2

Misguided Soul 2

Misguided soul
Traveling every road known to man
Some bustling and busy
Others dark and dangerous
Taking in joy and celebration
And pain and suffering
Screams of excitement
And if agony
Caress your ears
You feast upon
Prosperity
And poverty
They say "pain is just a state of mind"
But you beg to differ
Even the stars
Wish they could tiptoe away
The moon is a shooting star, a guide
To distract you from reality
Because there is no way out
You see
The joy you'll never experience
The pain you'll always have to endure
All the twisted, plastered smiles
With no meaning
Haunt you
You are not wanted
On this plastic earth
"misery loves company"
But no one can save you now

Wow...personal yes...but universal. At least I can feel and understand the words...

There were a few typos, but those are insignificant. This was a pretty interesting poem!! You asked for honesty! I thought this was great. It seemed kind of different compared to what you usually write...
