A Poem by Ki

I'm a plane in the sky
Soaring along above
Where even the clouds can't taste me
I'm on top of the world
Almost to the gates of heaven
But something unidentified
Pushes me down
It's rocky at first
Perfectly manageable
I push my way onward as I usually would
But I spiral down faster
It keeps getting worse
Finally the clouds can taste me
They swallow me whole
I'm Jonah in the whale's belly
I'm gone for good
The raging storm
Will never end
The plane so shiny and new
Is crashing down now, down to Earth
Reality steps in
Takes its toll
But I have enough power
I have enough hope
I have enough strength
I have enough determination
To sail right back up
To where I should be
Where I need to be

I thought this was really good. You gave it a positive outlook to end with while describing reality in a metaphorical way.
