Glass Heart

All I will remember you as is one of the confused little boys

who I so foolishly thought could take care of my tiny glass heart,

but you too dropped it.

It had already been put back together so many times that the pieces were so small,

so hard to put back in place again.

I’m pretty sure there are still microscopic pieces missing,

but they are long gone by now.
