Ballade (forme fixe)

Swimming in the cool pool, planning.
How did this happen to us?
Visiting cards, the gentlemen,
The way we are apart. Pushed away from each other.
Arrested attentions, sunning,
The women are sunning.  Bad impressions propagated by others.
Needles in the haystack, often
Including our Carolina wren
Repealing, all about a sealed
Elasticity, a caption.

Two vanish. The lady faints. What’s revealed?

Survivors.  Your stomach growling.
Visiting hours.  You’ve bidden
Enticement, taken my heartstring,
Negative qualities hidden.
Inclusive of everyone bitten.
Repeat the sounding joy repealed
Entire towns and their churches’ billion

Three vanish. A lady faints. What’s revealed?

Steeped tea and the grandbabies husking
Vandalism of your birchen
Entitled property, joking
Leeks for potato soup beckon.
Amplifiers of the Brahmin
Repeatedly sent their cards, dealed.
Executioners his bastion.

More vanish. Lady’s infant; what’s revealed.

Sapphire, the Hope diamond chosen
Unanimously for the kneeled
Outstretched knees princely plum damson.

I vanish. Some ladies faint. What’s revelation!
