Noah Bear

Noah Bear

A Poem by Avi Lynn

It's just not fair

With a pain so large and dense
The day the world stopped making sense
I pray I see you on the other side
Though I really wish you hadn't died

I know that he'd be strong and kind
That is what is in my mind
I'm sure he'd have so much to give
If somehow he was allowed to live

Moving on, you shouldn't though
I didn't want to see him go
And if I could take your place
So everyone could see your face

That I see every second still
I promise you, I always will
The grief is far too great somedays
I miss you, constantly, always.
