Embryo

Embryo

A Poem by Mahlo Metsys
"

A tortured soul coming in spiritual contact with a new beginning.

"

Darkness surrounds you with peace and solace

This comfort of purity within your palace

Stay silent and calm with the gift of your soul

Enjoy this, this dream that will never be whole

We turn to the light, and a path we will draw

A choice, but we all choose the same with no flaw

But once you’ve adventured through the light that you see

The nightmares and sins... They will all be set free

The purest of angels, the origin of saints

I envy you greatly while I shriek in constraints

Absorb all you can as you slumber with glee

Prepare for the future, it’s over for me

A heart so atomic, untouched by the truth

A heart so unclouded, a canvas for youth

Your maker is proud of the life he produced

But come now, the demons will see you seduced

Purest of creatures, existence is you

Clean is your spirit before life is true

A legacy born to become as you wish

But know that the others will bring you anguish

Beautiful creature, untouched by the sun

A ray of moonlight that will soon come undone

Please know that I wish you the best with your dreams

And feel my life drain with the faint of my screams

This world can be yours if you learn from what’s passed

But know they will hate you for love you’ve amassed

This life is a gift, but it comes with a price

Awaken to darkness that shows you your vice

I once was like you, but I’ve crossed through the light

I followed a path that would reach the twilight

But you, Embryo, please hear my faint voice

Be weary of demons that alter your choice
