A Wolf's Feelings

A Wolf's Feelings

A Poem by Rose Tyler

Silently through the trees,

The lost wolf wanders aimlessly,

Without a thought or emotion,

This lone wolf will never find her home.

Oucast from an early age,

Only few people know her true nature.

Her name and her face don't match up,

Yet to those who know her,

She's a special maiden.

She has found the love of her life.

And a while back found her mate.

But oh how she longs for her mate,

Unseen since the year before.

Her love she sees almost atleast once a week,

If not more.

She yearns for their touch,

One just as much as the other.

This lonely wolf wanders the empty forests at night.

She searches for the meaning in her life.

Nothing has ever made sense,

Nothing has ever made her feel totaly whole.

Broken down several times,

Only to find herself trying to stand once more.

She hopes this will be the last she falls,

Else there will be violence and suffering.

Tired of life,

Tired of it's hardships,

The only true friend she knows she has,

Is her Lord who stays by her side.

I love wolves, they are my favorite animals. They are so beautiful. I love this poem because I always say that I am a lone wolf, and I can relate to it very well I really like this poem.

am i to judge "true" love?

To me to see the emotions of an animal is a great task to write about. But to make them human is stunning. Wolves are one of my favorite animals and to show the intensity in her feelings was a great idea. I love this poem. Great job

I really like this, no matter how far apart one may roam the one who has always been true is the one that is always there. This is amazing!

I must be a lone wolf, after reading this.
Though, as the last line eludes to, we are never alone.
It's a tale of longing, whoa and loneliness, even if a mate
is callin' once in a while...true love beckons on.

Wolves are cool!
Beside that:
This was so sad, but it has a bit of hope at the same time. I really liked it and the way it flowed.
