Too Good To Be True

Too Good To Be True

A Poem by Rose Tyler

God I wish this weren't true..

I like you yes

But I'm starting to think

Not nearly as much

As I once thought

You treat me like a princess

Tell me I'm your whole world

Your beautiful angel

Your everything

It hasn't been too long

And you're already wrapped around my finger

This is what happens everytime

Though I wish it would stop

I once thought you were all I needed

That you were my only one

But that's all chaned now

everyone's told me

"Listen to your heart

Before you tell him goodbye"

I'm sorry this has happened

Yeah call me b***h, call me a w***e

Call me what you want

I listen to my heart

And follow it so I'm not getting hurt

Take this the way I'd want you to,

I never meant to hurt you

I know you're going to be depressed and blue,

But I'm sorry sweetie,

This is something I really must do.

I don't think I'd label this mature, but I like it.
Honest and blunt, but that's how life and love can be sometimes.
Not everything is cliche' romance.
Good stuff. Kudos.
