Reincarnation

Reincarnation

A Poem by MaliyahButterfly

Some people will live the rest of thier lives in isolation.
Think!
Completely alienated from friends and family.
Could you handle that?
Being alone for the rest of your physical existence.
Spiritual strength.
Knowing that the things that you hold most valuable,
Can be taken from you at any moment.
Your physical existence could end in this very second.
All of your ideals, desires, and possessions.
GONE!!
In the blink of an eye.
Are you ready for that kind of transformation?

I am ready for almost any eventuality...the afterlife included. If it turns out that reincarnation is right, and that the Lord, does, indeed, recycle, I only wish I could be reborn knowing about all the stuff that happened this time around. That way, I wouldn't make the same mistakes again...that is, except the ones that were so good to make that I was willing to spend the rest of that life regretting it...
Lost all my possessions--twice--due to fires. Once, an untended wood stove, once, faulty wiring. I'm a minimalist, so no big deal. Stuff can be replaced. Lost all my kids' baby pictures, but got the actual KIDS out, so it's OK.
