Breaking a hiatus...

Breaking a hiatus,
is like breaking a limb.
A sudden trauma,
a shocking blow.
But how do we show,
this ebbing pain,
this poets lament?
No bruises grace,
this flesh supposed.

Speaking my mind,
like speaking to myself.
Words fading in the dusk,
bleeding out by morning.
Maybe I've atrophied,
withered on the vine,
perhaps I'm failing,
struggling in the face,
of your defeat.

I never thought I'd see my angel fall....

Whispers like embraces,
fleeting like raindrop teardrops,
I would still love you...
Could I?
Could I tell you,
sweet lamenting?
Could I share with you,
these doubts and fears?
I feel like talking...
If you felt like listening...
Would you understand?

I never wanted to let you go.

Aww, this is really sweet. I loved the line about the fallen angel and the last. This is so sad and touching and beautiful.. *sigh* Lol! Really though, your comparisons/metaphors were very apt and I enjoyed this. :)
