Broken By The Devil

Broken By The Devil

A Poem by Manda
"

All she wanted was for you to love her, but you're so busy pawning over the new girl that you forget she exists ...

"
I look at you and smile
But then quickly look away.

Why do I continue to look at you
Or even say hi to you?

It's obvious you don't want to be together
I mean that's what it seems like.

Ever since SHE came around
You haven't stopped drooling over her.

When I'm walking in the halls
I cant help but see you glued to her uncaring face.

Giving her your undivided attention
And charming personality.

She stares straight at me
With her eyes full of pure darkness.

She knew I loved you
And couldn't help but take pleasure in my suffering.

It just wasn't fair
Not only for her, but for you.

You were pawning over her
Like a dog begging for food!

She enjoyed watching you make a fool of yourself
Because of the devil she was!

I hated this THING or rather HER
For making our lives such a living hell!

If it weren't for her
I could have had you,
Maybe even loved you.

But she took the one thing I loved most
And rubbed it in my face!

Leaving me to drown
In my own tears.

And my heart
.....Broken by the devil

Author's Note

Manda
Why can't he see what she is doing to him! I hate watching him suffer! Pawning over her like some kind of animal....!

Well I know this is the first piece I have written in ages, so feel free to send along your comments.

I really like this, it reminds me of this song "sideline", it's so frustrating to know that when you really like someone you can't have em

"You were pawning over her
Like a dog begging for food!"

I like this line. Very strong, passionate. Nice work.

maybe he wanted to be pawned. boys are crazy sometimes :)
anyway hun, i think the best thing to do would be to IGNORE it, and show you don't care. tell him once maybe what you think of it all, but then you can't force him to do any more than listen to your opinion. after that, let him be pawned if he wants to be. stupid guy. and i hate that b... too. :)

Wow, this is an intense poem. The last two lines are really what struck me. I liked it a lot.

firstly he is not with you..that hurts..
now you are worried that she is hurting him...
so sad..i think either you are too good for him or he is a fool..
that he can't see all this...nice poem:)

That's some tough s**t to deal with I think, but look on the bright side! If he's pawning after her that just shows that your too good for him. (: I like the line, "When I'm walking in the halls, I can't help but see you glued to her uncaring face."
My best friend got her heart broken by the devil so I can kind of relate. In a way. Still, good luck and great write!

I could definitely feel the anger here. You threw your emotions out and left no stone unturned. We all took a walk in your shoes.

The only part that seemed out of place was the line, "Because of the devil she was". Perhaps a little too much like Yoda talk. I'd suggest instead, Because the devil, she was. Gets the same point across but rolls off the tongue more easily. Other than that, its very descriptive and emotional... both good things.
