Little one, your light is dying

Little one, your light is dying

A Poem by Amanda Naomi

Little one, don’t go

Don’t leave me here alone

They’ve spun lies around your back

I don’t believe them

Please come home

Little one, come back

I’ll hold you in my arms

It’ll be just you and me forever

You don’t have to face them

We just can’t be apart

Little one, you left

You’ve abandoned me

The betrayal I cannot bear

I’ve been stabbed in the back

Now I can’t help but see

Little one, your light is dying

My hand is at your side

Forgive me I love you forever

My shame breaks me

I cannot see your light

Little one.

Death is at your door

And you’ve gone with him blindly

What do I do without you?

My world is torn

Little one.

Please don’t go.

Come back!

You left and your light is dying.

I love you little one.

Pain, sadness and denial wrapped up within a few words.
Pretty heavy.

Lovely way of prayer to a little one and through her/him to the Almighty.
Very nice work.
Could you check if the word "you're" should be 'your"

To me, this feels liek the relationship between parent and child. As children get older, they sometimes make bad choices and get into the wrong things. The parent will always love the "little one" but will feel betrayed because they went aainst everything their parents taught them. This is what I took away from this. Very interesting. :)

Sometimes, it hurts us to know that we can't help or save the certain ones we want. We can't save everyone nowadays, but we must do what we can to help them if they feel they want or need it...we must give ourselves to them if we feel we have done them wrong, yet should feel no mercy once they do us wrong. It goes different ways I guess, but I love this write :)
