Frightful Morning

Frightful Morning

A Poem by ToxicMelody
"

Free righting poetry in hopes to beat writers block

"
Monday mornings
They never we're my thing

Especially when little children cried throughout the night
Work was just around the corner

The alarm buzzed in my ear
I scowled and aggressively hit snooze

It went off again.
Groaning, I placed my feet on the ice cold wood

I could already tell
It was going to be one of those days.

i just really like this because it makes me feel about everything single day i have to wake up and deal with things when you have that vibe of the day.

I love how this shows how much you hate Monday mornings. Take that writer's block!

For a random, quick write, it certainly borders on the quirky, I love your sense of dread in the mundane, although I do love the structure of the piece, the last line would have been even more powerful if you added "in hell." at the end.
