DRIFTER

DRIFTER

A Poem by Mark Alexander Boehm
"

Thoughts on that moment when you're neither sinking nor swimming.

"
Air is gonna fill my lungs
And I'll be carried on
To another tomorrow
I once thought wouldn't come.
I've ventured across many seas
Started off smooth sailing
Then hit some rocky waters
So I'm cut up and bruised,
Feeling broken and used.
But I'll see to it
That these cracks are sealed
Because I'm gonna drift on,
See to it that
This drifter's never gone.

Liked the message and the way you used waters as a metaphor. Nice write. Thanks for sharing.

Nicely expressed emotions. The lines " so I am cut up and bruised
But I'll see to it
That these cracks are sealed" really gives off a strong will power to the readers.
