Sullen Mind Suddenly Sees Its Tender Gesture

Sullen Mind Suddenly Sees Its Tender Gesture

A Poem by Mark Mendoza

Although his mind cascaded with anxiety-ridden thoughts,
He was moved for a moment to view the form of his body:
Left arm stretched across his midsection, clutching. His right arm stretched across his opposite arm, onto his shoulder, caressing. His head was bent to the side, nuzzled in the same shoulder. This was a body holding itself, tenderly.
