My Hotdog-Silly HumanA Poem by Dave My Hotdog-Silly Human Ahhh, the pigeons, the birds I hate on the boardwalk, their ungainly gait. Their flight, such a perversion, while mine, is superb, yes quite like a moment divine. Almost being stepped on by the humans, intent on eating their afternoon treats. burger, popcorn, all kinds of sweets I silently glide over the milling throng, waiting for a human with a hotdog to come along. A pigeon will have her stumble and I will sweep, with a scary scree, a swoop at the hotdog and I go. Human, don't you see all along it was meant for me.
