Stuck In The Middle (Struggles Of being Bi-Cultural)

Stuck In The Middle (Struggles Of being Bi-Cultural)

A Poem by Marlin

I'm called a traitor to my culture but what do you expect from me.
I'm suppose to carry two Countries on my back.
I'm expected to be more American than the Americans,
 more Mexican than the Mexicans.
The thing is I don't belong to either cultures.
In some ways, I'm not Mexican and in others ways, I'm not American.
It's a bit strange, too many, won't understand that
I'm stuck in the middle and I have to try to not explode.
