Mama's skirt with cherries

Mama's skirt with cherries

A Poem by Marri
"

constructive criticism always welcome

"

Wrapped,
then unwrapped,
her skirt with cherries
is mapping the ground.
The walls are made of sound
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
through the hollow painting stand:
White feet,
the white on the sheet
and the unborn that
she carries
after the kick, the push, the slap...

I missed your words so much, hope inspiration has been good to you. This piece feels abstract made up of a collage of memories and impressions ... there is something so fresh about skirt with cherries... mapping the ground... a sensory portrayal, it seems to pour a shade over the earth.. the whiteness says so much about newness... the unborn and the pending.. yes that slap.. welcome to existence, the first celebratory hurt.... you do this so naturally.

Your writes are very visual. They tack the words with the images so well. As if they had always been connected. That takes some skill.
