The hard part

The hard part

A Poem by Matthew
"

Wrote this poem on a monday. 'nuff said.

"
Tell me I'm great
Tell me I'm grand
Tell me I strike with a devilish hand
I need no forgiveness,
I've committed no crime.
I need not faith,
to feel the Lord's burning scathe.
I need not protection, or power, or prowess
To cradle me in a calloused arm
To be subdued by an elegant charm
All I need is that fraction of a moment
That splitting hair that divided the instant
When my world shattered like glass
The day she told me to pull my head out of my a*s

Wonderful turn at the end. I didn't see that comming. I like this. good work. We all need comic relief.
That is why people give cowboys belts with their names on the back. In the hope that they will eventually take their head out of their a*s. Having their name on the back of their belt will remind them who they are.

Yes I did. Better honest to goodness truth than flattery.

Didn't expect it to end the way it did, liked it very much. ^_^

A lovely piece that moves to the comic at the last line.
