Old Mr. Rockwell

Old Mr. Rockwell

A Poem by Matthew
"

Somewhat of a dark poem with a simple playful rhyme scheme

"
You don't want
to end up like me

Digging those ditches
in the cemetery

You don't want to
live the life I've led

Staying up all night
Just to bury the dead

They said 'study, my son,
and learn your lesson'

But little did they know
my dark confession

I had already planned
my life's profession

And now the last thing
those kind folks see

Is me digging their ditches
at the cemetery

Wow, this is an awesome poem. It flowed well the whole time, and the ending was very clever. Great job.
