As Fire Afflicts Antilogous Pole

As Fire Afflicts Antilogous Pole

A Poem by Max Meunier

errant wafts of ghostly whispers struggle to sway
but their words fall in magnetic arrest
boring through terrestrial layers
halting

when furnace beckons

sorrowed drops have inscribed twin vales upon this sallow shell
fallow, bereft of fleeting filament
hours composed of decomposing
poised to frivol away

as fire afflicts antilogous pole
