If I'm your only hope.... you're f*****g screwed

If I'm your only hope.... you're f*****g screwed

A Poem by KatiePie

You love me for the way I break your heart,
I rearrange it like its fucked up art.

I smile when you're hurt,
that's the only happiness your worth.

You think I'm digging my grave,

but darling Im digging yours.
Maybe when your dead I'll love you more.

You held my breath for me,
I'm ripping my heart off my sleeve.
Back the hell down

and let me breathe.

Covered in dirt,
blood dripping from your face,
oh honey your so beautiful these days.

This is it.
You've got nothing left to lose.

S**t.

If I'm your only hope,
your f*****g screwed.

I may come off as slightly sadistic in saying this, but i absolutely ADORE this piece. The force of each line, the power behind it is never rackingly beautiful, and the jarring flow just makes it all the more mind boggling.

What i find very interesting is the vulgarity. The piece is formed around it almost, but does not concentrate on it. Almost like each word spits its own little insult in competition with the actual curses lol.

Kudos to you my friend for this stunning piece!

I must admit that I laughed with a sort of evil glee when I saw the title of this poem..
And I thought, well, it's gotta be at least entertaining... and it is - in fact, the anger and callous heartlessness in this is very funny.. although more in a malicious sense than actual humour.. It plays out in my mind like a relationship gone rotten, where the power balance of any residual 'love' has long since been eradicated.. And the 'shoe is on the other foot' as they say.. It's a pathetic situation for the victim of these words, but is the inevitable conclusion for something that is way past being 'too late'...
The metaphor of death and fatal injury is savagely expressed and works well - at least, it seemed to me that it was clearly related to the end of a love affair.. But I suppose it could be taken any way you like - but it wouldn't be half as interesting and entertaining if it were just seen as a literal definition of death..
The manner in which this poem is delivered fits its hard-hitting title exactly, and the reality of the style is equally effective in this sense..
Good stuff.. particularly to those who have a bitter sense of humour (me) or perhaps just a bitter taste for revenge...
PS. i think this would be appropriate for either of the two contests...!!
A nihilist's love poem.

I don’t think I’d want to meet this girl; I like how you do the pros and cons in this piece it’s a perfect blend that makes it work. Excellent write.

wow - smart and dark - wow!
looks like the subject of the poem
entices the author into a dominate mode
as they need submission
interesting power play
