A Poem by Mistral Bilgera

Bury me with honor

but take out all the majesty-

grandiose is one shallow,

futile show of supremacy:

For I belong to the Earth now,

decay will feast on me,

and all the hollow greatness

would not ressurect me.

I leave my real legacy:

the good I've done with life-

the attempt to lift existence.

My success in bitter strife

They'll last for the longevity

of good hearts passing it on.

Recur long as souls are willing

uncorrupted by the season.

Profound thoughts--and true, in my opinion. As long as others remember us, we still matter, and in a way, still exist.
