Restless (lyrics)

Restless (lyrics)

A Poem by Alaska

Tonight I lay my weary head to rest,
six feet under in my Sunday’s best.
I can still sense you here;
fresh dirt and daisies in the air,
another dream entirely.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
Oh, our bond runs deep,
it’s clotting my blood.
Like a poison,
infecting my folly heart.
These days I just don’t sleep anymore.
I feel like a zombie,
I’m barely making it through.
I’m starving for something,
and never getting full.
If only I could say my piece,
but I know you, you’ll just leave.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
I’ve laid to bed, but am unable to rest.
I’ve given up on giving my best.
I’ve fallen prisoner to the muscle in my chest.
I’ve given all to receive nothing but less.
Give me your hand,
so I won’t fall.
For you, I’d change everything,
anything at all.
I can’t do this alone.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
So for now, I’ll be restless.
I’ll be restless.
