A Chapter by Meboe

I'm not here to shove the Bible down your throat.  My blogs are here as an option for you to read.  I just get these urges to type these.

First off, what is up with this country?  I hear someone is trying to remove "under God" from the pledge of allegiance.  I have also heard in some other state, people are trying to get rid of some judges statue of the Ten Commandments.  Mark my words people, the farther this country strays away from God, the worse we will get.

Let me ask you a question a little off the subject.  If you were about to die, and you knew it.  What would you do?  How would you feel?  If you were a non believer in Christ, I'll just take a wild guess and say you'd be pretty upset about dying.  Why would anyone want to die with no hope, no joy, and no thought of finally seeing and living with who made you.  Why would you want to die without any purpose in life?  Sounds like a waste to me.

I got news for you people.  Some of you think you were a mistake being born into this world.  Just because your parents weren't expecting doesn't mean you weren't supposed to exist.  You are here for a reason, and you are not a mistake.  God has already planned our life out, but it is our free will to worship, obey, and love Him.

I remember I was reading in the bible the other day.  And I read something about when Jesus first started preaching.  At first, His words seemed to contradict each other.  But what it was really doing, was contradicting the worlds.  I just think that is awesome.  To me, that means that us Christians are different from the world.  I'm not talking about people claiming they are Christians, I'm talking about people who learn His word and follow God.  We do stuff that seems different and strange to the world.  If you will only be willing to take off that blindfold covering your spirit, you will know exactly what I am talking about.   Now let me share with you a poem I've read before, and I thought it was awesome.

"One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was
walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the
sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he
noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one
belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When
the last scene of his life flashed before him, he
looked back at the footprints in the sand. He
noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed
that it happened at the very lowest and saddest
times in his life. This really bothered him and he
questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, You said that
once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all
the way. But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life, there is only one set
of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed
you most you would leave me." The Lord replied,
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would
never leave you. During your times of trial and
suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it
was then that I Carried You."

I love that poem! It is so comforting knowing God is always with us even if it doesn't seem like it at the time.
