Death

I have an almost obsessive fear of death, and I go into a hot-cold frenzy when I think about it. One night, I relieved myself by writing what I felt and this is what came out of it.

Life is hard,

But no one said

That death is easy.

To face your fate

Is harder than you

Can imagine.

I leave my footprint behind,

But the water just

Washes it away.

I'm scared that when the moment's gone,

The moment will be gone forever.

Tell me it'll be alright,

Tell me that I'm just dreaming,

Tell me that I'll live forever,

And that I really shouldn't have to worry.

Everyone has to do it,

I just don't want to be

Everyone.

Side note: When I say "Everyone has to do it", I'm referring to dying.
Don't be harsh, I was half asleep when I wrote this :]

Death is a hard concept to grasp. Wondering if you'll leave a permanent footprint or if you're going to be forgotten. I also have a fear of death but it's more about what will come afterward. It's a good write and makes you think.

well nothings really permanent everything will fade EVENTUALLY the trick is to live life to the tune of your own and take nothing forgranted.
