Effortless

Effortless

A Poem by Melissa Kester

The mask she wears to hide her pain
The smile she dons when it's pouring rain
The sparkle in her eyes against the grain
So easily she hides the hurt
Without hardly any effort

It's not surprising that no one sees
How much her heart truly bleeds
For she is skilled at hiding these
Secrets she bares, she hides her mess
And oh, she makes it look effortless
