Lord, let the cricket be saved from drowning.

Let me not be employed by sadness,

For Your hand is in this

Even as I've prayed.

Bestow me strength

In the convictions set before me

That I may be fierce for You

And just keep swimming.

For I know Your eye

Is on more than the sparrow.

Faith is so often a hidden quality ... one not openly shared. And that, I think, is a sad thing because it shapes so much of who we are. And here you are with an offering of belief ... one wise in its truth and simple in its message ... soft and beautiful in its afterglow.

Your poem seems to speak about how you fully surrender your life over to the Lord and letting him lead you into His divine destiny for your life. Absolute surrender to God is one thing, I guess. And this goes beyond recognizing and acknowledging the reality that we each belong to Him which is not very easy as how we think of it. This piece made me think of the times I seemed to forget. A really nice piece, not emotionally or mentally draining write. And it's nice to be able to read creations like this sometimes when everything else seems so logical.

Maryanne, I am glad that you added this was not an energetically taxing write to read, because I would not want that at all! I do love God. It is easy to look back and see through the perspective of asking "Why?" rather than "Wow, what I have come through, what You have brought me through!" and be uplifted. I know He has His purposes, though most often I can't understand. I do want to be His vessel in a non-forced way. Thereby, I think I must be His vessel in a non-forced way. Xo!

I agree, asking why bears acceptance to the task rather than proud of being given the task. I think it's two different things, no?

Yes. It is 2 differnt things. Xo. And recently, currently, I am in development regarding the transition of "Why?" to "Wow!" ;-)
