Lone Traveler

Lone Traveler

A Poem by Rose

His cracked hands spoke of adventures

far beyond the knowledge of others.

and when he offered to tell his stories,

everyone rushed away

except for a silent, quiet girl who

listened rather than play.

but oh what she learned,

from the lone traveler

stories of new and old

would be now told forever.

All because one lone soul

spoke to another,

now these memories would not be lost

as the sands of time shift,

and cover the old.

I love listening to stories and I find them fascinating! Stories are something that should never be lost and should be passed down in generations.
