FLEETING DREAMS

FLEETING DREAMS

A Poem by Dara
"

Loss of a loved one

"
Last night you came to me
Like you always do
Just a sneak,a teeny weeny peek
Like you always do.
Only, this time I was waiting to call your name
to let you know I knew you were there.
Like you always are.
Our eyes met and the second that passed brought with it a searing pain.
I cried again,like I always do
since you forever slipped.

Last night,you came to me
Like you always do
With hardened eyes and a dripping shattered heart
that still oozed with love.
