The War on Languor

The War on Languor

A Poem by Epipsychologist
"

The worst kinds of weapons are never discovered.

"

Apathy is a chemical weapon
Shutting down neural pathways

And civil rights activators.

Apathy is a sanction

Against emotion states

That puts a hold on holding on.

Apathy is a care package

Carelessly dropped

Where no one will find it.

Apathy is a motivational poster

That no one notices is propaganda.

Apathy is a war on nothing

That can cost us everything.

This reminds me of a teacher I had last year who always said, "I can't students who don't know and don't care."
Apathy is truly a problem, and I like how you went about addressing it. I especially like how you used all the different comparisons in the beginning; it helped bring the idea into something more real for me (since I can relate much more with things like propoganda and chemical warfare, it hleped make it more concrete if that makes any sense).

P.S. though, I was wondering if emotion was supposed to be emotional
