Come sit down by me and let us sing

Of tales and myth, the fire so gleams

Take us away to a land far beyond

Where dreams are real and reason is gone

 

Come sit down by me and share my song

Where dragons fly and magic is strong

In a world left in shadows by a fiddlers tale

We dance and praise the far beyond realm

 

Come laugh and cheer with me this day

Stories unfolding in every way

Let our hearts rejoice together

And live in a world of endless pleasure.

Stories by the fire remind me of the myths and stories perceived real to the ones gathered. In the moment, the whisper of nonsense is so beautiful and true, and what more to ask for than that?

I loved this poem at the title. I just love fires and talking around them!
Nice, fairly short and sweet and to the point. Look at the last line in the middle stanza... Something maybe felt a little off there. Otherwise great job!

No, not the meaning, I meant the flow I suppose. Something didn't sound right in that line to me. It is always super hard to see those things because it always sounds the way that you meant it to in your own head. Yeah, deff see if anybody else says anything. There is totally a chance that I am insane. haha.

Thank you very much! I really tried to give my best insight into one of the many dreams I have. One being stories around a campfire with artists, musicians, and every other sort out there. I love story-telling. And thank you, it took me a bit to get the title right where I wanted it, though the picture is still... iffy to me.
