The Hookah-Smoking Caterpillar

A poem based off Alice in Wonderland's Caterpillar.

Above a mist of clouds he sits

Rings of smoke float through the air

Upon his desk sets beauty refined

A hookah made of copper design.

 

The caterpillar man, he was called

In a faraway land he was enthralled

Head of shisha, base of milk

He puffed away clouds of silk.

 

Tastes of roses, grapes, and apples

Smells of cinnamon, potpourri, and jasmine

He sits atop all day and night

Puffing away to his delight.

I am a casual hookah-smoker so I really favor this character Lewis Carroll created.

Ahh this reminded me of the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland who smokes all day, all night and speaks wisdom to the occasional visitor.

Oh I like jasmine as well. It's different. Jasmine and rose are the two most common flower-flavors of shisha. It reminds me of church. And thank you.
