A walk

A walk

A Poem by MichelleClay

Sunlight sparkles colours off the dew drops
The air is fresh and clean
Leaves are green and vibrant
There's not a soul to be seen
Each step i take is springy
Each turn a new surprise
How I often wonder
How people miss this with their eyes
Time escapes this place
A piece of heaven just for me
I can roam theses woods for hours
Only here am I truly  free

You've captured a time when you were appreciative of nature and all its details. There is a spiritual side to it and you caught it through the use of words that brought the feeling for us all to share, if only for a short time. Wonderful poetry Michelle.
