The Great Divide

The Great Divide

A Poem by Bryan Micheni

The great divide
And of my merriment inside,
I'd know despair in thousand faces...
To be, or else another time
To live, and dance, and breathe free air,
And of my endless inhibitions
Break my mold of hapless glory...
Split me into halves, or quarters
For my hopeless heart and mind...
Exonerate my last sensations
Of my guilt and my despair...
Walk with me on road unbroken
To the temples of the damned,
And of all schisms to part,
You and I would be the greatest,
And in great loves, and great divides
Our names would ever live.

I like the above thoughts. We must break the mold and find a better path sometimes. I like the strong statements and powerful ending to the excellent poetry.
