Walking on train tracks

Walking on train tracks

A Poem by Middling

I see the train acoming
Drum adrum adrumming.

Too long I have I walked
On train tracks and talked
Of dangerous things.

Between a rock and,
A hard place, I stand,
Hoping for a helpful hand.

Now the train I must meet
For this terrible machine
Has been in my mind forever seated.

I had walked in mornings
Where warning signs stood
And always did as I would.

The train has come
Its circuit nearly completed
Its’ fuel store nearly depleted.

A thought warning to all
In case you take a fall
When the train comes aturning.
Do not walk on railway sleepers
For wretched trains always come,
And not always when expected  or called.
