Inner Battle

Inner Battle

A Poem by Midge Marie

Dusk has fallen upon me and the nightmare starts once more.
My mood is cold and bleak for I know this ship

I am sailing is destined to fail against this torrential storm.

This reoccurring dream is drenched in darkness with no hope to be found

In between these ruthless waves.
What I have done to earn such a fate is beyond my mortal mind.
Though one thing is for certain, mercy will not touch me here.
Only Death can save me now.
