An elusive dream, just out of reach

"

The dream slipped from my mind
like sand running through my fingers
or a breath in the wind
leaving me unsettled,
Exhausted
I close my eyes
will I dream again
can I believe?
Hope
or is this an intended
subconscious thought
feeling or a memory?
out of reach
gone forever
