Outstanding Suffocation

Outstanding Suffocation

A Poem by Sarah I.

It was outstanding,

the way her presence suffocated me

confused me

derailed me.

She distorted my perception

through her own distorted pathways.

The explanations of the passages of her conscience

were nowhere to be found...

Not in her eyes, the vibration of her voice,

or the multiple brainwaves that were birthed on paper

through ink and ball-point

It startles me:

the consistency of her instability

the possibility of hope in her fear

and the suffocation of her outstanding presence.
