On My Own

On My Own

A Poem by Midnight_Mask

Here I am, once again,
All alone inside my head
Close my eyes, I'm alright,
Just try to sleep another night

And I see hurt inside, scaring deep,
Your worried eyes, pained to see;
Crying out, help me now,
can't hold on, can't hold out

But I don't need a hero,
I've done this on my own,
And I know that you worry, I know all you've shown,
But I don't need you to catch me,
when I fall,
I'll be fine, let me go, let me fall

Here I am, scared again,
By the voices in my head,
Can't run, can't hide,
Only another drink can help

And I see hurt inside, scaring deep,
My worried eyes, pained to see;
Crying out, help me now,
Can't hold on, can't hold out

But I don't need a hero,
I've done this on my own,
And I know that you worry, I know all you've shown,
But I don't need you to catch me,
when I fall,
I'll be fine, let me go, let me fall

Turn the lights out,
Close the curtains,
Turn the lights out,
Close the world out,
Let it begin.

And I need a hero,
I cant do this on my own,
And I know that you worry, I know all you've shown,
I need you to catch me,
when I fall,
I'll be fine, I'll be fine
