Father, You are No Longer Needed

Father, You are No Longer Needed

A Poem by PoeticColors

Father
More than a job
More than a title
Your role is supposed to be vital
I get that your past was rough
But why am I not good enough?
Why do you scream and yell?
Just one word could raise hell
Never having an opinion
You want me to become your minion
Your words echo in my head
For your approval, I've bled
Why are you so hard to please?
You berate and roar with ease
You've become something I don't need
It's too late now, you've done the deed
I'm leaving you, finally freed
