Burning Rain

Burning Rain

A Poem by Millie
"

. . .

"

It was ripping through my body,

Buring out.

It was like screaming,

With no noise.

Crying,

With no tears

Rain,

With no water.

Mind raced like a thousand cars.

Time flew like a broken clock.

I felt trapped, like a caged animal.

Mental at an insane asylum.

Standing in rain,

Rain that felt so pure.

It felt like dreams,

With no waking.

Parties,

With no ending.

Tears,

With meaning.

It felt like fire on my skin.

Tapping, scoldering, burning.

Although it was fresh!

So fresh like early spring.

The buring.

The burning rain,

It was a cleansing.

It was new.

It called for me.

Burning Rain.
