One GlanceA Story by MillieOne glance
Long stares,
No hugs, Talking, Only through text. No one, Wants to step over the line. When? Can this all be over? It was all broken, we were all shattered to pieces, broken, destroyed. A thrusting pain comes to my chest at even a thought of it all. I regretted everything I had said and done, it was all wrong in the opposite context. Now what are we? All I did was make it known that I had, had enough of being fooled around. Was that so wrong? I wanted to speak to him in person, but we never got the chance. Everything said through a phone, it could sound as bitchy or as hurtful or maybe even as tender as the person wanted to perceive it. Days passed, no one spoke we avoided each other at all costs. But I missed him. I couldn't take much longer of us not speaking. So I did. I plunked up that courage and sent a text. Maybe I sent a text to dig it in more, I'm not quite sure. All it said was "Hey" and to my surprise I got a reply. It made me so happy, gave me a glimmer of hope that maybe we could get through this. The next day. We kept our distance, we looked over every so often while just walking the halls. Sat down at lunch almost across from each other we glanced not for long before realizing we were both looking at one another. Although soon enough we did stare just for a little while. You could look at you and I could. So I looked up and I saw him eyes locked on me. We wanted to speak, but somehow we couldn't.
