Fragmented

Fragmented

A Poem by Mimozi

I struggle to put all the pieces together

I try for completion, I reach for perfection

I stretch far beyond the end of my tether

But all that I see is the same cracked reflection

Some days are bad and some days are worse

Ideal and reality never see eye to eye

No escape, tough I try, I am living the curse

I'm beginning to think I am aiming too high

I studied the problem, I looked in the cracks

I went searching for answers and my fears were cemented

I have been in denial ignoring the fact

That my fragments are all irreparably fragmented.

It is not the fact that it is broken... but how well we try and put it back together... you dont throw away a Ming vase for one crack... loved the rhyme...
