To the Nomad Girl

A Poem by MiriamMB

Previous Version
This is a previous version of To the Nomad Girl.

the human body is not a house well

the water is often poisoned

or harboring a great,

dead thing

at the bottom.

Don't build a home next to it.

If you must drink,

taste the water for rot

sip lightly

thank the giver kindly.

journey on.
