Hush Little Bomb

Hush Little Bomb

A Poem by Solipsis-tard
"

For all those who have suffered at the hands of the human race

"

Hush Little Bomb,
You've done your work.
Hush little Bomb,
Please hide that smirk.

Smother your fire,
Please, just take a break.
Leave the sky,
Please, for humanity's sake.

Can't you see?
The lives you've snatched?
Can't you feel?
The anger you've hatched?

Hush Little Bomb,
You've done your work.
Hush little Bomb,
Please hide that smirk.

Silence your roar,
Please, just lie on the ground.
We've had enough,
Please, not one more sound.

What have you done?
You broke their lives in half,
And crushed their bones,
Yet you sit here and laugh.

Hush Little Bomb,
You've done your work.
Hush little Bomb,
Please hide that smirk.

Think of the blood,
You've sprayed in our eyes.
Think of the sorrow,
You've thrown in our lives.

The hatred, the misery,
It's all because of you.
The wounds, the scars,
Stop, what more will you do?

We've served our purpose,
Now leave us alone.
We've destroyed the earth,
In peace, let us moan.

Hush little Bomb,
We don't need you now.
Hush little Bomb,
We'll kill ourselves somehow.

I like this write.
Th depth of it, the rhyme scheme and flow.
Very nicely written.

This is an interesting approach to a peace advocacy poem. I like that you took the childish innocence of a lullaby and used that as your form.

Keep writing!
