Eloquence

Eloquence

A Poem by Liz

And she told me,

“Write s****y poems!”

And so I took my pen to paper,

And I tried to make it rhyme

And I didn’t care about flow

And I repeated words

And I said good-bye to

Pentameter or

Whatever the f**k it’s called

And I wasn’t eloquent,

And I wanted to scribble lines and lines and lines out but that was the point

And I released my grip on perfection

Because what is f*****g perfection?

And this is what I got.
