Bathroom

Bathroom

A Poem by Lolo
"

A man is waiting outside of the bathroom for a girl he has been pursuing relentlessly. Her take.

"

Bathroom

Here in the bathroom

Phone in hand

Counting the time tick by

Scrolling through photos

Kisses and friends

I’m not alone, yet I

Sitting alone

What is this tightness

Where do I go

And how do I leave the

Safety of the bathroom

Safety inside

Teaching me to run and hide

Alone in the bathroom

No one to find

No one to hold me by

I am not here

And I am not there

Stop looking for me

Why am I scared to

Leave the bathroom and

Face the hall

Where predators lurk

And seek for fawns

When did I become

So helpless and meek

And why has this man left me

Quaking my feet

And how do I leave the

Safety of the bathroom

Safety inside

Teaching me to run and hide
